Hi! I’m Ernie. I came to CO with my brother, Bert. We originally came into a small shelter in Alice, TX with our mom and our siblings. They all found homes, but my brother and I we kept waiting until a nice lady from MHCR came and brought us on a van. It was a long ride. I’m really happy in Colorado. I got a nice warm bath, a comfy bed, lots of toys, and foster humans of my own to cuddle with. I even have a few foster canine friends that I love very much. I’m really playful. I’m only 3.5 months old, so my foster mom thinks it’s pretty great that I can sleep through the night without a potty break. I love humans and dogs of all sizes.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
