Hershey's Story

Hershey girl! This little chocolate nugget is one of the very few females in her litter. As such, she’s on the smaller side. Hershey is a sweet little thing with a mild-mannered demeanor. She’s a love to everyone she meets. Hershey and her family are from Oklahoma. Her mom, Taffy, was tied to a tree and she whelped 14 puppies. During a tornado, 3 of the puppies perished. She and the rest survived and found refuge with a foster home. Hershey will fit nicely into a variety of homes, don’t let this MORE than semi-sweet one pass you by!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
