Mr. Big is your typical, giant boy that fully believes he is a small dog. He climbs in your lap and curl up for a nice snooze. While he’s great with dogs, he’s a people person. He craves attention and affection and likes to give it in return. He loves treats, belly rubs, snuggling and going on car rides. Mr. Big joined MHCR from a very small, extremely underfunded shelter where he was kept in a very small pen. One day he climbed out of the pen and jumped from the top to the ground which was about a 5-6′ drop. We suspect this is what caused him to break his Tarsus, but we can’t be certain. When Mr. Big arrived we noticed a swagger to his walk so he was taken to a specialist to determine what was going on. After a CT scan and an interpretation by a radiologist, it was determined this was an older injury that had healed itself prior to entering care. It does not need follow-up care at this time. He’s a young man, approx 2 years old (possibly younger) and is around 90 lbs. We believe he is a Shepherd/Mastiff mix, but we have not done a DNA test. Mr. Big also lives with feline friends. He ignores them, but if one of his canine foster siblings starts a chase, he joins in.
