Ramona's Story

Imagine being the sole female in a litter of 7 pups! Please meet Ramona – she’s one tough cookie! This 8-9 week old girl is believed to be a West Highland Terrier/Chihuahua mix, but of course we can’t be sure. Her mom, also pictured, is approx 15-16 lbs and we really aren’t sure who dad was — although by the looks of her brother, he was probably where the Chihuahua came into play. Ramona will enjoy a variety of home types. She’s a friendly and outgoing girl.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
