Meet Rocky! The Sweetest Boy Who Finally Found His Couch!
Rocky is a 1-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix with a story that will make you want to give him all the cuddles in the world. He is sweetest soul with eyes that will absolutely melt you. Seriously, this boy has a way of looking at you like he is madly in love with you, and somehow, you end up falling just as hard for him. One look from Rocky and you’ll understand why his fosters are completely smitten!
Rocky spent most of his young life living on the streets of Houston. A few weeks ago, he was finally picked up by a shelter, and you would think his story was about to take a happy turn. Sadly, he was placed on the euthanasia list just four days later. Thankfully, Mile High Canine Rescue stepped in with minutes to spare and gave this sweet boy the second chance he deserved!
When Rocky first arrived at his foster home, he wasn’t quite sure he was allowed to enjoy the good things in life. His fosters had to negotiate with him to even come inside, and even with plenty of encouragement and treats, he needed time to believe he was truly welcome. Then came the couch challenge. For TWO DAYS, his fosters tried to convince him that he was allowed up on the furniture. He wasn’t buying it! Once Rocky finally discovered the magic of couch cuddles, there was no looking back. Just take a look at his profile photos! Now, getting him OFF the couch is the real challenge. Rocky has officially decided that being a spoiled house dog is the life he has always deserved, and we couldn’t be happier for him.
This boy is an absolute sweetheart. He loves snuggling with his people, playing with his doggie friends, and being part of the family. He gets along great with other dogs, has tested well with kids, and is mostly unbothered by cats, although he may occasionally give them a chase. He’s also doing well with his house and leash training.
Rocky has spent far too much of his short life just trying to survive. Now he’s learning that he doesn’t have to worry about where he’ll sleep, whether he’s welcome inside, or if there’s a soft couch waiting for him. He just needs a family to love him and remind him every day that he’s home.
