Sara is a gorgeous, 6-month-old, German Shepherd Dog. She is smart, sassy, and ready to find her forever home. Sara has some of our favorite GSD traits. She’s loyal, independent, quick to learn, and alert. She take a beat to warm up to new people and having another confident, male, canine companion in the home will be a huge help for her. She uses the doggie door in her foster home and complies with being crated when she’s left home alone. Sara sleeps on a dog bed next to her humans at night with her other foster siblings. She presently isn’t a fan of the leash, but her fosters are working on this each day! Sara’s forever humans should have experienced the love of the GSD breed and enjoy training. They also will have a fenced in backyard.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
