Schnitzel is an 8 week old, male, Dachshund mix. This handsome, low-riding, long-bodied, boy is looking for an active and fun home to call his own. Schnitzel is around 6 lbs at present. He’s very sweet and friendly with people and other animals. While he’s a wonderful snuggle partner, a permanent lap dog he is not. Schnitzel would love a yard to run around in with humans and possibly a canine sibling to keep him busy.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
