Zoey's Story

Zoey is her name, cuddling is her game! Zoey is a 4.5 month old, female, Aussie mix. She is a friendly, affectionate, girl that loves human kiddos. Zoey is learning the basics of home living. She sleeps in her crate at night, but isn’t a big fan of it during the day. She lives for quality time with her humans. She is also good with dogs. Zoey and her littermates joined MHCR from a hoarding situation in Texas. Their mom (an Aussie mix) was not surrendered and we don’t know who her dad is. We estimate her adult size to be 50-60 lbs.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
