Colorado’s First Full Circle Rescue

What is a “full circle
rescue organization?

A Full Circle rescue is an organization that tackles the pet overpopulation crisis in a multi-faceted way.  MHCR understands you cannot reduce the number of dogs entering and being euthanized in shelters due to the lack of space by adoption alone.

Ace! Ace joined MHCR back when he was a puppy from the state of Texas. He was adopted into a great home and his future was bright. Unfortunately, when Ace was about 1.5 years old, his human parents split up and Ace lost his home. So, he came back to MHCR and is now in foster in Lyons while he looks for a new home. Ace is great with kids, loves other dogs, and his foster dad calls him a bed hog. True to his Texas roots, Ace isn’t a fan of the snow. But, he’ll cuddle by the fire with you all winter long. He’s house trained and does well free roam in his foster home too. If that’s not your jam, Ace is fine in a crate and would appreciate a nice bone to chew on while he’s in there. Ace is looking for a home with a yard and he wouldn’t mind a female doggie friend or two.

Ya’ll better act quickly! Dogs like Freya don’t come along often! This 6 month old cutie is just as sweet and innocent as they come. She loves life! She loves all people, all dogs, and loves loves loves to please! Freya is a playful little peanut and we suspect she will top out around 50 lbs. She’s looking for a family to call her own and she’d love a home with a fenced in yard, too! If smart and sweet is your jam, this girl is for YOU!

Our girl Jade is an approx 9 month old, pocket pittie mix. She’s petite at 33 lbs, which is the perfect size (in her mind) to be right on your lap. In fact, you can find her most days just snoozing at her foster mom’s side while she works. Jade is a professional snuggler. She also is great with dogs, enjoys playtime, and takes correction well. She’s crate trained and is easy to keep occupied with a yummy marrow bone or something if need be. Jade is working on some socialization as she spent 2 months in a shelter. She was so timid when she first arrived, but now, she’s doing amazing. She readily greets new people, loves to take walks and does well on a leash, and has great manners within her foster home. We do recommend Jade for a home with older kiddos.

Queen is as perfect as they come. She is a 7 year old pittie mix who lives for cuddles with both her humans and doggie siblings. Queen is great with dogs, but doesn’t have the best manners when meeting them so needs a little correction. She currently lives with two kitty friends and gets along with them as well. She’s known to pick up a sock or two when she’s happy or bored so having a house with older children is probably best. She’s crate trained and would probably do well free roaming in the house when her humans are gone. She loves car rides and even loves going off roading in the mountains. Potty trained as well. She’s a special girl who picks up in her humans emotions and knows exactly when cuddles and kisses are needed. Need a snuggle buddy this winter? She’s your girl.

DO NOT adopt from this company. They will want everything under the sun from you. Social security, pay stubs, to search your house. They act like you are adopting a real child. DO NOT go with Mile high canine rescue

This was a very long, drawn out process for Franco. Ending in total remorse. 🤣 (stuffed it into 19 seconds).

First Franco was afraid of the fly.

Then Franco decided to check out the fly.

Then Franco decided to eat the fly.

THEN Franco felt so guilty for his choice. 😂
(His face at the end. 😅)

And now Franco wouldn’t hurt a fly.
