Sage is a beautiful girl who recently joined MHCR as part of the “Stop The Cycle” grant MHCR gives to Amarillo Panhandle Humane. She and her siblings were surrendered to rescue and in exchange her mom was spayed so she never has puppies again! We are excited to welcome Sage and are confident we can find her a great home. She’s a German shepherd mix and we suspect she will fill out between 50 and 75 lbs. She’s 8 weeks old presently.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
