Dis handsome boy is Goose! Goose is 8 weeks old and is a German Shepherd mix (he got it from his mama). Goose joined MHCR as part of the “Stop The Cycle” grant we provide to Amarillo Panhandle Humane. Goose and his siblings were surrendered to rescue and in exchange, we sponsor the spay of his mama who stays with her family and never has puppies again! It’s a win/win! Goose is expected to grow between 50-75 lbs. He’s a curious boy and is perfect for those that like the sleek black coat not often seen in Shepherds.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
