Hi! I’m Dawson. My foster mom says the people at the rescue call me a Schnauzer mix. I think I’m about a year old, but it’s hard to say for sure because I was found as a stray dog without a story. The vet people said I weigh around 35 lbs. I just came to Colorado from Texas and I really like it here. I have a cozy crate that I love. I get to live inside, too! Oh! My foster family has this cool door just for dogs and I go in and out whenever I want – I’m a big fan. I have canine foster brothers and a sister. I love playing with them, especially wrestling. I have to say my favorite part of being in a foster home is the humans, though. They’re the best. Sometimes I’m a little pushy asking for more attention but it’s only because I just love them so much. I’d love to meet you if you think you might want to adopt me.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
