Meet Duke! This 13-week-old German Shepherd/St Bernard mix is a big-hearted pup with an even bigger future. Duke came to us from TX and is learning the ropes of Colorado life. He is a sweet, playful puppy that loves to spend his time playing with the resident dogs and kids and is endlessly entertained by toys! Potty and crate training are going great, and his tail never stops wagging. Duke is vocal when he wants to get your attention and will leap tall buildings (i.e. baby gates) to get to his favorite humans. He will thrive in a home with a fenced yard and no shared walls. If you are ready for big love and big paws, Duke is your guy!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
