Rose's Story

They say every Rose has its thorn, but that’s not the case with our sweet girl! Rose is a lover of all things outdoors. Pinecones, grasshoppers, butterflies, you name it, she is a fan. She loves to run and play and explore in her backyard. When she’s done, she is down for a power nap snuggled up next to her foster mom. She’s about 4.5-5 months old now and she’s learning quickly about all the basics of home living. Rose is a very smart girl and already knows a few tricks. She’s a huge fan of couches, blankets, snuggly beds (human and dog). She thinks crates are for peasants but she seems to do fairly well confined to a small room. We think Rose will mature around 20-25 lbs. She’s presently 13 lbs. She would be well suited with a confident and playful doggie companion. Rose is looking for a home with a fenced in yard and no shared walls, please (her request, not ours). We haven’t the slightest clue where she gets her terrier type coat and her exact breed mix is unknown.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
