Tank aka Tanker is a 3-4 year old English Bulldog. This handsome guy is extra special. Why, you ask? Well, Tank is vision impaired. He sees some things and can navigate fairly easily around objects, but if there’s a ledge to be fallen off of, you can bet he’s gonna find it and fall off of it. He seems to struggle with vertical depth perception. We took Tank to see our friends at CSU ophthalmology and they confirmed he is unable to see well. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything to be done about Tank’s vision – we just need to help him while he adapts to his surroundings. Tank was found as a stray in Texas. He’s dog friendly, albeit he doesn’t really engage in play yet, and he loves, loves LOVES to be near his people for head scratches. Tank has learned to handle stairs fairly well, once he gets the general idea of how many, etc. He would be fine in a home with a few stairs here and there – but an entire staircase isn’t ideal and the stairs must have rails. He really enjoys moseying around the yard and taking in all the smells and what sights he can see. He enjoys short walks and is good on leash except when he sees/hears a car. He likes to pull towards them. Tank rides well in the car and seems to enjoy car rides, too. He’s a good boy with a heart of gold. We recommend Tank for an adult only home that’s bulldog savvy.
