Meet Tonka: The Texas Tough Pug with a Heart of Gold!
Straight from the streets of Texas comes Tonka, an adorable 7 year old Pug who’s ready to roll into your life (and probably your heart). This little tank on stubby legs is the definition of “happy to meet anyone or anything.” People? Instant friends. Dogs? Party time. A random leaf blowing by? Challenge accepted.
Tonka is dog-friendly, people-friendly, and apparently already a pro at the basics—he appears potty trained and crate trained, so the hardest part of bringing him home might just be deciding who gets to throw the first toy. And oh, does this guy love to play! Expect zoomies, toy battles, and plenty of that classic Pug snort-laugh whenever the fun starts.
He’s been fixed, is up to date on shots, and even got a fresh dental clean-up, so his smile is as ready as the rest of him.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
