Tootsie Roll's Story

Tootsie Roll! This sweet, chocolatey, girl is around 9 weeks old. She’s part of a huge litter of pups that belong to Taffy (pictured below). Originally Taffy had 14 puppies. Since she was tied to a tree, there wasn’t much she could do when a tornado sweep through and claimed the life of 3 of her pups. Tootsie Roll and the remaining pups sought refuge in a foster home and now they’re here in CO for a second chance. Tootsie is a well adjusted, smart pup that has a confident and inquisitive streak. She’s great with all sizes of dogs and has started being introduced to chickens, horses, and cats, too!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports.
