Tori is a beautiful, brindle, ‘pocket’ pittie girl weighing in at 32 lbs. She’s only about a year old and we have quickly fallen in love with her sweet disposition, quiet nature, and quirky mismatched ears and long tongue! Tori was physically healthy but completely terrified during her time in the shelter with all the chaos and loud noises; her shelter notes describe her trembling at intake, cowering in the corner or on the floor, her tail between her legs, and being completely shut down and not wanting to walk on a leash. She was not aggressive but due to how terrified she was, she landed on the dreaded ‘list’ after only four days. We tagged her in the nick of time.
We are so glad we took a chance on her. She is a very different dog in a foster home! She is a submissive girl in general who appreciates somewhat calm environments and patient people. We suspect humans weren’t always nice to her, but once she gets over the initial hesitation and realizes you are nice, she loves with her whole heart! We have found she thrives after some decompression time and predictability! She is getting braver every day and is actually very playful; she gives kisses, enjoys humans and other dogs, and has the most adorable zoomies! She does not seem to be very high energy though and is a master at house hippo-ing and sleeps though the night. She is also crate trained and likely housetrained. If your family can promise her safety and consistency, snuggles, belly rubs, and snacks (she loves food very much 🤣), please apply for Tori!
