Lexus is a pittie pup who is around 9 months old. She was saved from a high kill shelter in Houston. Aside from having been malnourished, she seems to be no worse for wear and is excited about all the yummy food and snacks in the world. She is currently 48 pounds, but we think she will level off in the 55-60 pound range at full size and when she gains some much needed weight. Lexus loves other dogs and humans and has a very friendly, sweet, loving disposition. She is hard at work on her crate and housetraining skills as well as leash skills. She is very eager to learn and experience all the good things life has to offer. Lexus is a complete sponge and would love a family that will continue to work on training and socializing her and taking her on adventures. She’s ready to meet her forever family!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
