Gosh, we wish Everest could tell us her life story because we bet it would be an interesting one. We have no clue how this beautiful, friendly girl was picked up as a stray and then found herself on the euthanasia list in a New Mexico high kill shelter for space, but we are elated she sprung free. She clearly had an owner and lived in a home at some point given her house manners, leash manners, and how friendly she is with people and other dogs. She also had already been spayed. After some updated vetting and a trip to the grooming salon, she is ready to find her forever family.
Everest is a pretty, wise, mellow, quiet dog, and her foster family has nothing but good things to say about her. We believe her to be a heeler mix, around 3-5 years old, and she is only 38 pounds. She actually will benefit from continued encouragement for a healthier lifestyle as she is a tad on the ‘fluffy’ side. Shhh…don’t tell her that. Anyway, if you are looking for a sweetheart girl in your life that is pretty low maintenance, please give Everest a chance.
