Peach's Story

Meet Peach, a Texas transplant. She’s a 4 year old chihuahua mix. Peach is about as perfect as it gets. Peach is a wonderful couch companion for late night binge TV watching. She is still getting acclimated to walking on a leash, but weighing in at 7 pounds you can pick her up with ease for the remainder of your jaunt if she tuckers out. Peach loves to romp and play with other dogs and her toys. She is crate trained and knows that’s her safe place if needed. Peach appears to be house trained.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
